Aimée with her sons.

About

Aimée has always been drawn to interior design, architecture and real estate - frequently playing “real estate agent” (instead of “school” or “house”) with her friends at a young age, participating in the design of her parents’ home renovation in middle school and redecorating and rearranging the furniture in her room regularly as a child (she made to-scale mock-ups of the furniture pieces and would try different floor plans on a pieces of graph-paper representing the room).

While at UCLA, Aimée created her own liberal arts curriculum, with courses ranging from microbiology to painting to art & architecture. After graduating from UCLA, with a major in English and a minor in Spanish, Aimée moved to San Francisco and began working at Tim Kennedy Design and then Robert Frear Architects - both focused on high-end residential projects in the Bay Area. After that, her passion for all things “HOME” was funneled into her own spaces and those of friends in San Francisco and Chicago, where she furnished a penthouse apartment in a historic Mies Van der Rohe high-rise while attending business school at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Upon returning to San Francisco, Aimée took on a number of projects refreshing and reimagining various spaces in a 3-unit 1896 Victorian in NoPa while working in the tech/healthcare industry. While also growing her family with the addition of two sons, she began a complete gut renovation of an historically significant Queen Anne Victorian called “Winter” (as it’s part of the famous “Four Seasons” homes built by John Whelan, a shipwright, between 1894-1896). At this point, she could no longer deny her desire to make time for design and thus Four Seasons Design Co. was born...

With her experience working in spaces ranging from mid-century “glass-box” high-rise to uber-historic Victorians, she has found a unique way to mix the modern and the classic, with a clean and fresh approach that still honors the original architecture and details without feeling stuffy or out-of-date but also not stark or cold. She approaches each project with a fresh set of eyes and a keen ear to her clients’ wishes and lifestyle. Her business background and attention to detail combined with impeccable style make for a winning combination for your project.
